Controller
Who is responsible
Dhivinora Ltd (UK) designs and develops Arju and operates this website. For personal information that we receive through the website or support, Dhivinora Ltd is the data controller.
You can contact us at support@arju.app about this notice, a privacy request or a concern. Please do not send relationship records, diary entries, API keys or other sensitive app content unless we specifically ask for the minimum information needed to resolve a support issue.
Scope
What this notice covers
This notice covers visits to the Arju website, messages sent to our support address and technical information processed to deliver and protect the site. It does not govern Apple, Google, Vercel, OpenAI, Google Gemini or another website that you choose to visit. Those organisations publish their own privacy information.
The Arju app has a separate notice because its main records stay on your device and follow a different data path.
Data map
What we process
The website does not ask you to create an account or build an advertising profile. Vercel may process request, security and configured analytics information when it hosts and delivers the site. The information involved in a visit is limited to the following categories.
| Information | How we receive it | Why we use it | UK GDPR basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP address, request time, requested page, browser and device headers, approximate location derived from IP, and security or error information | Automatically when your browser requests the site | Deliver pages, maintain availability, diagnose faults and protect the service from abuse | Legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure public website |
| Email address, message, attachments and any details you choose to send | When you contact support | Answer your question, investigate a problem and keep an appropriate support record | Legitimate interests in providing support; steps at your request before a contract where relevant |
| Records needed to respond to a legal request or protect legal rights | From you, our providers or a competent authority | Meet legal duties, prevent misuse and establish or defend legal claims | Legal obligation or legitimate interests, depending on the circumstances |
Hosting
Vercel delivers the site
The website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes end-user network and request information on our behalf to route traffic, serve files, monitor availability and help protect the service. Its current privacy notice describes information such as IP address, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, diagnostics and approximate location derived from IP.
Vercel may also set cookies or use similar browser storage for deployment authentication, security challenges and preview tooling, depending on the deployment and the visitor. Where Vercel Web Analytics is enabled, it may process page-view, referrer, device and approximate location information, with visitor identification reset each day according to Vercel’s documentation. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles of Arju visitors.
Typography
Google serves the fonts
The website currently requests typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes a network request to Google that necessarily includes your IP address and ordinary request headers. Google states that the Google Fonts Web API does not set or log cookies and that requests are kept separate from other Google service data.
If externally hosted fonts are blocked, the site falls back to a system typeface.
Sharing
Who receives information
We disclose website information only where it is necessary to run the site, answer a request, comply with law or protect people and the service. Current recipients can include Vercel for hosting and security, Google for font delivery, our email service provider for support correspondence, professional advisers bound by confidentiality, and public authorities where disclosure is legally required.
We do not sell website visitor information. We do not share it for cross-site advertising. Links to app stores, AI providers and other sites open services controlled by those organisations.
Transfers
Processing outside the UK
Some service providers operate internationally, so website or support information may be processed outside the UK. Where Dhivinora Ltd initiates a restricted transfer, we use a lawful mechanism available under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or contractual safeguards including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We also assess whether supplementary protections are needed.
You may contact us for more information about the safeguard relevant to a particular provider.
Retention
How long we keep it
Support correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact so we can follow up recurring issues and maintain an accountable support history. We may keep a record longer where a legal duty, unresolved complaint, security investigation or legal claim requires it.
Hosting and security logs are retained for the periods available under our configured Vercel service and then deleted or aggregated according to the provider’s processes. We review providers and retention settings periodically.
Rights
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to be informed, access personal information, correct inaccurate information, ask for erasure, restrict processing, receive eligible information in a portable format and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To exercise a right, email support@arju.app and describe your request. We may ask for only the information reasonably needed to confirm your identity. Rights are not absolute, and we will explain if a lawful exception applies. You have a specific right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Complaints
Raise a concern
Please email support@arju.app first so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority. If you live in the EEA, you may also contact the data protection authority where you live or work.
Safeguards
How we protect information
We use proportionate technical and organisational controls, restrict access to people who need it, choose established infrastructure providers and avoid collecting information the website does not need. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please use email thoughtfully and do not include app secrets or intimate records in a first support message.
Other points
Children and automated decisions
The website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly ask children for personal information through it. If you believe a child has sent information to support, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Dhivinora Ltd does not use website information to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on visitors.
Changes
When this notice changes
We review this notice when the website, our providers or the law changes. We will publish the new date here and give additional notice before a material new use where the law requires it. Earlier processing remains governed by the version that applied at the time.
